Dr. J. Carter Murphy lives in Dallas.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Music in 1943, he earned a
Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1946.
Alex Dickie, Jr. writes that he lives in Woodson,
Texas. He received a Master of Science degree in Economics in 1948.
Virgil Rogers sends regards from Irving, Texas.
His degree was a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1958.
R. Tom Harpool, Jr. lives in Denton. He did post
graduate work here after he received his Bachelor of Science degree
in Economics in 1939.
Russell Dabbs, Master of Science in Economics, 1989
Russell earned his Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee,
Knoxville, in 1996. He is currently Associate Professor of Economics
and Chair, Department of Business Administration at Lubbock Christian
University, Lubbock, Texas. Russell was saluted by this Department
in 2001 as our Outstanding Alumnus on UNT Alumni Appreciation Day.
Charles R. Tibbels, BBA Economics, 2002
Charlie is Chief Information Officer at Home Hospice of
North Texas. He coordinates information among 4 offices and serves
as the Privacy Officer. They are in the process of implementing
the HIPAA Privacy Regulation and writes, “Dr. Rous will know
about this.” He is on the Finance committee and is using forecasting
skills, “Thanks, Dr. Tieslau”.
Craig A. Woodcook, Master of Science, Labor and Industrial
Relations, 2001
Craig reports that he is an internal auditor and financial
analyst for Ben E. Keith Management Trust in Fort Worth.
Lori Heffelfinger Rosenberg, BBA Economics, 1996
Lori earned a BS in Nursing from UTA in December 2001.
She is working as an RN in High Risk OB at Baylor in Dallas. She
and her husband, Robert, are expecting their first child any day
now. Lori plans to start graduate school in Health Care Administration.

Economics, 1994
Russell is living in San Antonio and is Area Manager of
South Texas for NFC Marketing Associates.
Philip Stanley, BA Economics, 1957, Master of Science in
Economics, 1958
Philip reports he is retired from the Transamerica Insurance
Group after working in the insurance industry for 33 years. He has
lived in Colorado since 1996. He studied labor economics and statistics
under Dr. Sam Barton. Dr. Rosser Melton was his major professor.

Economic Research, 1999
Michael has been married 5 years to Stephanie Jenson. (UNT
BS-Education 1993) He is Vice President – Finance Control
for Citigroup and lives in Dallas.
