Job Placement Service
The Department of Economics is committed to helping our majors
obtain rewarding jobs in the marketplace. Economics majors work
in a variety of occupations, but most economists usually are classified
as analysts, such as "data analyst," "pricing analyst,"
"research analyst," or " planning analyst."
We assist students in three basic areas:
1) internships
2) part time jobs and
3) full time jobs.
Internships may be paid or unpaid and may be for credit or not
for credit. The department collaborates with the Cooperative Education
Office in locating internships. The department also collaborates
with Career Services (formerly the Career Opportunity Center) in
finding part time and full time employment. Job information is available
on our web site at http://www.econ.unt.edu/nieswiadomy/jobs.htm
and on the departmental bulletin board outside Wooten Hall Room
327. For more information please contact Professor Michael Nieswiadomy,
our departmental placement officer, at 940-565-2244 or email at
miken@unt.edu.
