Department of Economics Research
The UNT Department of Economics is committed to excellence in economics
research. Each member of the faculty is active in peer refereed
publications. Areas of concentration include econometrics, macroeconomics,
economics education, and several areas of applied microeconomics
including labor, public, health, development, environmental, and
international trade. The faculty has published in general interest
journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Econometrics,
Review of Economics and Statistics, Economic Inquiry, International
Economic Journal, and the Southern Economic Journal. The faculty
has also published in leading field journals such as Demography,
Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Money Credit and Banking,
Journal of Economic Education, Public Choice, and Land Economics.
At UNT's Department of Economics, active research is an important
part of the faculty member's role.
