Job Title: Strategic Analyst

Role of Position:
As a Strategic Business Analyst, you will combine quantitative analysis and business
knowledge to present forecasts and business trends recommendations of asset performance
and operational data to optimize Servicing strategies. This is accomplished through
partnering with various operational, financial, and risk analysts within Servicing and
the overall company. This role includes applying the knowledge of Servicing strategies,
metrics, models, and operations to forecast performance trends. 
  
Principal Accountabilities:
Provide the analytics necessary to implement, measure, and optimize asset performance
and productivity. Reconcile asset performance to loss expectation models and a number
of internal and external parties. Partner with operational analysts to analyze performance
and implement execution models. Team with other Analytical team members to create and
enhance reporting and data integrity. Partner with other departments to develop, enhance,
and implement operational loss and execution models. Regularly communicate results in
both verbal and written formats within the company, investors and rating agencies. Navigate
data warehouse to fulfill routine as well as ad hoc analytical requests.

Education & Experience Reqmts: 
Bachelors degree with a major field of study in Finance, Operations Research, Math, or
related degree, Graduate level degree or coursework preferred or commensurate work experience
Experience with database tools (Access, TOAD etc.) and Excel 
Minimum 3-5 years prior analytical experience preferably working with credit/asset performance
analysis in the mortgage industry. 
Strong mathematical aptitude with problem solving skills 
Excellent data skills, be able to recognize trends, and be able to apply business knowledge to
analysis to review results for reasonableness. 
Work well in a team environment with strong written and verbal communication skills 
Proven work ethic and a proactive mindset. This position requires a self-starter, and regularly
requires thinking outside of the box to solve problems.
