Job Description:

As an Analyst in the Strategic Business Analysis (SBA) group, you will participate in market
research related tasks. You will be involved in the design, development and presentation of
customer-based analyses for Targetbase clients. These analysis projects are focused on helping
our clients maximize direct-to-consumer effectiveness with a particular emphasis on customer
acquisition and retention. While the source of data varies from one project to the next----some
data comes from survey instruments and some data comes from customer databases----each project
will require hands-on manipulation of data in the course of finding consumer insight for our

Analysis projects generally fall into one of the following categories:

Reporting: You will design and produce routine performance reports, perform ad hoc queries of
certain data repositories and help implement business intelligence initiatives

Custom Research: You will design survey methods and write questionnaires for the purpose of
collecting consumer information/attitudes/perceptions. You will engage with various research
vendors to secure estimates and see the survey to completion.

Customer Segmentation: You will assign customers and/or prospects to marketing segments based
on business rules that you define along with other team participants.

Predictive Modeling: You will score customers and/or prospects on their likelihood to behave
in a pre-defined manner using a variety of statistical techniques.

Measurement: You will measure the effectiveness of one marketing communication over another
and will carry out the tasks necessary to see the measurement, and to a certain extent
conclusions, to completion. Knowledge of experimental design in database marketing is helpful.

Specific job requirements:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Marketing Research, Statistics or some other quantitative business discipline
• 0-2 plus years work experience, New grads encouraged to apply
• Working knowledge of SPSS or SAS
• Strong analytical/mathematical skills
• Experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting deadlines in a team environment
• Ability to interpret analytical findings from a business perspective
