JOB DESCRIPTION:  

Financial Analyst

Richardson construction services company seeks experienced individual for busy accounting department. Duties includes 
the maintenance of general ledgers, journal entries, account reconciliation and clearing, and preparation of various 
accounting statements and financial reports.


Other Duties:


- Perform job cost analysis and financial analysis including data gathering and presentation documents. 

- Identify trend variations, provide analysis and recommend corrective action. 

- Work with CFO to analyze budget and forecast assumptions. 

- Assume assertive and proactive methods with the field locations and other departments to obtain and provide information. 

- Persistent questioning and analysis of business metrics. 

- Manage the variances between Plan and Actual and give advice/guidelines to the branch (general) managers and propose an 
  action plan. 

- Prepare with integrity and transparency, and report in a timely and accurate manner, all financial management information 
  used by the branch managers to help monitor operations and drive performance improvements. 

- Provide support for ad hoc projects such as P&Ls, pricing scenarios, purchasing strategies. 

- Take part in development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives. 


Job Requirements: 


- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics. 

- Strong background in job costing. 

- Proficiency with MS Excel, as well as other MS office applications. 

- Working knowledge of Great Plains strongly preferred. 

- Previous Operational analysis experience in construction or similar service industry a plus.
